Driver Ron Weyer, Crew Chief Tom Burkwald, and car owner Dale Weyer; ready the #07 for the feature race of the afternoon
The cars line up, in the staging area, before pulling out on the track for the race
Only the winner gets to carry the Checkerd Flag.
The afternoon ends with Ron in Victory Lane and another 1st place finish.
July 2017 Slinger Speedway Practice Day
This was a great, fun day. Dale rented Slinger Speedway, for the entire day. The #07 Monte Carlo was driven by Dale Weyer, Ryan Weyer and Rick Kanter . Helping that day were Ron Burkwald and Dale Graef.
Ryan Weyer, 2017 Dell Motor Speedway Series Champ, drives a full size race car for the 1st time. It was impossible to get the smile off his face, when he was finished.
Dale was right at home in his Championship winning car. Dale had not completed in this MidAmerican Stock Car since fall of 2011
Last it was Rick Kanters chance to drive the #07. This was Ricks 1st time in an oval track race car.
And it only took him a half a dozen turns around the track to figure it out; and turn some quick laps.
August 2017 Daytona International Speedway - Florida
Being here is the real deal. Speeds reach 190MPH+. The Daytona Road Course, uses both high banked corners and the infield track. Total distance for one lap is 3.2 miles.
Ron leads a group of fast cars through the tight infield right hand corners.
Speed and Downforce greatly affect the car at this track. With a few adjustments, done by crew chief Howard Mess ; Ron was a front running car
This photo clearly shows how the weekend finished. A tired, but happy Ron Weyer, displays the 1st place plaque he earned for winning in the SPO class of cars
