Slinger Super Speedway, Slinger WI
Ron began the evening on a high note, by winning a qualifying race for a spot in "The Legend", a $3,000 to win Midwest Sportsman race. But, in the ensuing feature, Ron was involved in a wreck and was eliminated from contention. Not the way you want to end a season, but all in all, it had to be considered a successful season, and the future is bright for DMW Motorsports. Stay tuned!

141 Speedway, Francis Creek, WI
This tight little 1/4 mile track is a drivers' track. Ron started on the outside front row, which is not the preferred groove. Being a one groove (inside groove) track, and racing against locals as well as Midam regulars, Ron hung in on the outside until he could get to the bottom. From there, bump and grind, nose to tail, is how the race went start to finish. This track uses the transponder system, and Ron turned the 4th fastest lap of all the cars in the feature, but because of the traffic, could only manage a 10th place finish.
August 26-27, 2005
The Milwaukee Mile, Milwaukee, WI
This years most important event of the year. All was well, the car was fast, and more importantly, the car was consistent and easy to drive. The 40 lap feature began with the #07 mid pack, but Ron quickly began to move forward. However, shortly into the contest as Ron made his way past slower cars, his ignition failed (distributor), knocking Ron out of the contest. Our first DNF for 2005.

Madison Int. Speedway, Oregon, WI
Back at the fast 1/2 mile in Madison, the series regulars dominated the field on an even playing field. Out of 35 cars, Ron finished 12th, after running with the leaders for most of the race, bumping us from the top five in the Coca Cola Challenge Series, finishing in 7th. Overall, though, the #07 Port-A-John car ran well here.

Madison Int. Speedway, Oregon, WI
Mid-American Stock Car Series had 32 cars time in for the 22 Feature spots at this 1/2 mile paved track. The top 17 cars were within three tenths of a second in qualifing. Ron put the #07 Heil sponsored car on the pole position for the feature. He also had a good run in his heat race where he finished second. At the drop of the green, Ron pulled out into the lead. He stayed there for four or five laps till he got the "hit em in the ass to pass" bump from the #22 car. After collecting the car up, Ron settled into fifth position. The top five were nose to tail in a group ahead of the rest of the field until the last few laps when the cautions began to fly. After 3 yellows in the final 5 laps, Ron placed the #07 in the sixth position. A very good night. All had a good time. Not a mark on the car. This was the first race in a 3 race Coca Cola Challenge Series for Midam Sportsman.
April 30, 2005
Elko Speedway, Elko IN.
Thirty cars timed in at this cold Sat. night show. Most were regular drivers at this NASCAR sanctioned track. We were racing against the local hot shoes. Only Ron and crew chief Howard Mess made this 6 hour tow. Ron did very well at this 2005 season opener and qualified 9th. He had a 3rd place finish in the heat race. The feature ran through quickly, with few cautions. Ron placed our Heil / Port A John sponsored car in the eighth position. No problems, A great 1st race for 2005!
