Married to Dawn Weyer, they have two grown boys who are always ready to help Dad on race day. The Weyer Racing two car team, is proudly sponsored by; Armstrong Air The Professional’s Choice , Porter Borders, Bonafide Security Solutions, Pioneer Bowl, Arrowhead Golf Course, and Weyer & Sons Heating & Air Conditioning.
Ron began driving in 1997 in a Super Stock and did more crashing than racing. In 2000, he began racing in the Midwest Modified division. The highlight of the year was winning the 2000 Behling Equipment Modified Feature at Slinger Super speedway. Ron finished as the top rookie in points. For 2001, Ron ran a limited number of Midwest Modified races at Slinger and Madison. Change came in 2002 when Ron switched to the popular Mid-American Racing Series. For the first event entered, Ron qualified on the front row for their feature at Lake Geneva Raceway. Highlights for the year were competing at Road America during the American Lemans Series event; and placing in the top 5 at the MidAmerican Motorplex in Iowa. The next four years went fast with Ron racing in the Mid-American Racing Series.. Many top ten feature finishes and competative racing; added too Ron’s driving resume. The Mid-American Racing Series is an excellent and well run program where a driver can gain experience and respect at many different race tracks. Now the main focus is racing with the SCCA Sports Car Club of America Regional Road Racing.
Ron is driving a full bodied Monte Carlo at Road America, Daytona, Watkings Glen, and Mid-Ohio road courses. For 2008; Ron took the Championship for his SCCA Division (SPO) by winning four of the eight races. The TRO Manufactering Challange Series is an 8 race series held at two different tracks. The series is administered by 4 different SCCA Clubs and is open to all SCCA competitors from anywhere in the US.
Jump ahead 10 years, highlights are a 2018 race win a Watkins Glen Road Course in SCCA competion, and big feature win at the 2019 Mid-American Racing Series Father’s Day event at the Milwaukee Mile.
Dale Weyer

Dale began driving in 1971 at Slinger Speedway and the original Beaver Dam track. He raced many divisions over the years. Many people remember the red “Honey Bucket” T-Bird of the 70’s, that dominated the Slinger Sportsman Division while Tony Strupp dominated the Late Models. Dale has won features during the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and now 2000’s after winning many Lions Club Racing features. For 2011 Dale was named the Lions International Driver of the Year, he also finished the race season as the Sportsman Division Series Champion. This was Dale’s final season of competing as a driver. A big highlight of this final racing season happened at Slinger Speedway on July 9th. Dale, having won his first race there in 1971, finished his last feature at the track BY WINNING…A full 40 years later!
Although done competing as a driver, Dale will continue to be a car owner, and to be involved in auto racing as a sponsor and a fan.
