After practice, the crew thoroughly inspects every corner of the car. This day Ron turned 6th fastest in practice laps. NOTE . . . the wet pavement, this is a sign of what will be a factor all day. Qualifying was rained out....

This is the business seat of a competitive race car. Full wrap around containment seat, gauges to monitor motor RPM and temps, radio communication with the spotter and crew chief. Many mandated safety features.

Prior to lining up for the main event, every car passes through a final inspection. Crew Members Dale Weyer, Dale Graef, Tom Burkwald, Fred Stabl and Chief Spotter Howard Mess bring the car up to the inspection station.

AND here is the start of the Mid-Am 2024 Fathers Day Milwaukee Mile Race. Ron Weyer on the pole, leads the field into turn one at the drop of the green. Throughout the many pages and posts on this website, the Weyer Racing Crew has had great finishes and good memories.... In auto racing there can be, and there are many ups and downs . . . Today finished on a DOWN . . . . . early in the race , Ron had a mechanical failure causing him to fall to the rear of the field.
